RML provides calibration services for mass, pressure, temperature, length, electricity, and small volume. It uses state of the art calibration equipment and instruments, as well as, calibration methods that conform to national and international standards.
The Regional Metrology Laboratory (RML) was established under the National Metrology Program of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). Through this, DOST aims to lend RML to international traceability of measurements done in the country thus contributing to production of goods that satisfy safety and fair trade standards of the international market

The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Regional Standards and Testing Laboratory was launched in 1992 to answer the needs of verious industries, researchers, and other customers for analytical services. Foremost among these industries is the food industry.
Apart from the food industry, there are other industries that require testing services particularly those that are export oriented. Many of these industries are still dependent on laboratories situated in Manila for their testing needs.
The idea is to give the industries the necessary support services for them to enhance their productivity and afford them better quality products.
